“And keep yourself patient [by being] with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His countenance. And let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornments of the worldly life, and do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in] neglect.”
“Jihâd (striving) against the soul has four stages:
Firstly: To strive in learning guidance and the religion of truth, without which there will be no success. Indeed, there can be no true happiness, nor any delight in this world and in the Herefater, except through it.
Secondly: Striving to act upon what has been learnt, since knowledge without action will not benefit, rather it will cause harm.
Thirdly: Striving to invite others towards it and to teach those who do not know, otherwise he may be considered from those who hide what Allâh has revealed of guidance and clear explanation. Such knowledge will neither benefit, nor save a person from the punishment of Allâh.
Fourthly: Striving to be patient and persevering against those who oppose this da’wah (call) to Allâh and those who seek to cause harm – patiently bearing all these hardships for the sake of Allâh.
When these four stages are completed then such a person is considered to be amongst the Rabbâniyyûn. The Salaf were agreed that a Scholar does not deserve the title of Rabbânî until he recognises and knows the truth, acts upon it, and teaches it to others. So whosoever has knowledge, acts upon it, and teaches this knowledge to others, is considered from the Rabbâniyyûn.”
“Do not be people without minds of your own, saying that if others treat you well you will treat them well and that if they do wrong you will do wrong. But (instead) accustom yourselves to do good if people do good and not to do wrong if they do evil.”—Prophet Muhammad (s) as reported in Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 1325 (via simplyhasanah)
Be careful, O Muslims! we are not all on the same level, that non hijabi sister you see, has memorized the Quran front to back. She makes Tahajjud everynight, and cries in her salah every morning, she loves her lord and his messenger, but you choose her one fault of not wearing hijab to degrade her? Do you not know, O Muslim? When her deeds are brought in front of Allah, some of YOURS will go with her as well, because you chose to backbite her, your own words will be against you and Allah shall say "Today, you are enough of a witness against yourself"
R.I.P. the 2,976 American people that lost their lives on 9/11 and R.I.P. the 48,644 Afghan and 1,690,903 Iraqi people that paid the ultimate price for a crime they did not commit & the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who experience this everyday.
“Before you speak, let your words pass through three gates.
At the first gate, ask yourself, ‘Is it true?’
At the second ask, ‘Is it necessary?’
At the third gate ask ‘Is it kind?’”—Sufi saying (via thekittygirl)
“Don’t you see how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another, and made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a glorious lamp? And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet spread out that you may go about therein in spacious roads”—Surah Nuh (via lovelee193)
The Palestinians do not even have the right to live. Nor do they have rights to their own property. They do not have the right to life, nor do they have the right to eat, to drink their own water, to harvest their own gardens, or to receive aid from the rest of the world. They do not have the right to freely move about in their own land. They cannot pass through their neighborhoods and through other camps and villages unless they have Israeli permission. The permissions are revoked without notice. They must have Israeli permission in order to tend their orchards and farms, and these permissions have also been denied to the farmers who own the land. They have no voice. Some of the orchards have been burned down by Israelis, while others have been uprooted by bulldozers, and the trees carried off and delivered as gifts to the Zionist "settlers." What the Zionists want, the Zionists think they can take.
“A Muslim woman should be proud to wear Hijab and let the world know that she’s representing Islam not only in her heart or behind closed doors .. but also through modesty and obedience to Allah (s.w.t.) outside the household. That being said, I would never downplay the iman of a Muslim woman without hijab. Righteousness isn’t only about clothing. I hold any God fearing Muslim woman in the highest esteem, wallah. May Allah bless them all.”—My really good friend Samir. (via beautifulqalb)
“All humans are dead except those who have knowledge; and all those who have knowledge are asleep, except those who do good deeds; and those who do good deeds are deceived except those who are sincere; and those who are sincere are always in a state of worry”—Mohammed ibn Idris Ash-Shafi’i (via rabsters)
“Every day the sun rises it calls upon us, O people! I am a new day; I am an observer of your actions. Take advantage of me for I will not return until the Day of Judgment. O son of Adam, you are nothing but a few breaths. Once one breath goes out, part of you goes with it. In the same way that part of you has gone, soon all of you will go.”—Hasan Al-Basri (via muhammadnoor)
said, “I saw during my night journey some men whose lips were being clipped with clippers of fire. I said, ‘Who are these people, Jibreel?’ He replied, ‘These are the people from your followers who gave sermons commanding the people with righteousness, yet forgetting to practice it themselves”.”—Sharh us-Sunnah, al-Bayhaqee in Ash-Shu’ab, ibn Abee ad-Dunyaa and others (via muhammadnoor)
The Prophet, pbuh, said: "Allah records good and bad deeds (in this way): If anyone intends to do a good deed, but does not do it, Allah still records it with Him as one full good deed. If he intends to do a good deed and then carries it out, Allah records it with Him as ten to seven hundred times in reward or even increases it many times over. If anyone intends to do a bad deed but does not actually do it, Allah records it with Him as one full good deed. If he intends to do a bad deed and does it, Allah records it against him as (only) one bad deed.
